I was introduced to CrossFit in 2012 in Korea and had a chance to program a WOD in the pool. I thought this sport was interesting with how it incorporates a broad variety of movements that I had been doing all my life. Being a nationally ranked swimmer, bodybuilder, and semi-pro football player; practitioner of martial arts, military instructor, and collegiate rugby player, this was a sport in my wheelhouse!
Being in the military for over 30 years and moving quite often, I was blessed to have moved to Colorado in December of 2016. After finding a box that did not turn out to be a right fit for me, I discovered CrossFit Bonnie & Clyde in 2017. With the great athletes, coaches, owners (Clint & Lisa), and support at CFBC, the journey began, and I was HOOKED!!
What really got me hooked was the thoughtfulness of Clint, Lisa, and the athletes during my recovery of major shoulder surgery. With the love of witnessing the progressions of my soldiers and other athletes, I was blessed during my deployment in Kuwait of 2022 to acquire my CrossFit Level 1 Certification and the chance to give back to the passion of the sport.
